Rashmi creates photo collages that speak about history, humanity, and our place in it. Her work rests between two worlds: Bombay, India, where she was born, and America, where she now lives. Her work is in the permanent collection of museums in both countries, and she recently completed a series of collage panels that are on permanent display in the Wallingford and New Haven Public Libraries.
An Auditorium of Ideas
Pulitzer Prize-winning Playwright and Choate graduate Edward Albee ’46 referred to the Arts Center as “an auditorium of ideas” at its dedication in 1972. Today, the Arts Center continues to support a wide range of artistic opportunities, accessible to all within the School and its neighboring communities thanks to free to affordably modest admission fees. Since 1972, the Arts Center has served as a creative hub, presenting guest artist, faculty, and student concerts, productions, exhibits, and more.
