Meet the Staff

Edward Griffin – Controller –203-697-2225
Ed received a BS in Business Administration from St. Michael's College '91 and an MBA in Finance from the University of Hartford '96. Ed is responsible for the overall operations of the Finance Office and budget. He has worked at Choate since August 2001.

Heather Kneipfer – Financial Analyst –203-697-2676
Heather received her BS in Accounting from Bryant College '90. Her primary responsibilities are financial planning of operating and capital budgets, financial data management, financial reporting, and comparative database manager. Heather has worked at Choate since September 1999.

Olga Pivazyan – Senior Financial Accountant –203-697-2124
Olga received her BS in Finance from Moscow National Economics Institute and an MS in Business Administration from Moscow Management Institute. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounting function. She has been with Choate since October 2001.

Nijole Janik – Accounting Assistant –203-697-2513
Nijole received her BS in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut. She is responsible for the detail of the general ledger. Nijole's responsibilities include processing all general ledger activity, reporting, account reconcilement, debit system coordination, loan programs, and institutional research. Nijole has worked at Choate since September 1988, the longest tenure of the Financial Office.

Kathleen Kirschmann – Accounts Receivable Administrator –203-697-2516
Kathleen attended Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN and then Southern Connecticut State University, earning a BS in Early Childhood Education. Her responsibilities include student accounts, banking, and cash management reporting. Kathleen has worked at Choate since January 1995.

Chantelle Foley & Alice Barillaro – Accounts Payable Administrators – 203-697-2300
Chantelle received her AD from Manchester Community College. Her scheduled hours are all day Monday and Tuesday and afternoon on Wednesday. Chantelle has been with Choate since September 1998.
Alice graduated from Cheshire High School, and works Wednesday morning, all day Thursday and Friday. Alice has worked at Choate since April 2001.

They are responsible for the payment of all vendor invoices and institutional petty cash.
