The new summer reading program is currently available for your viewing on the library tab of CHIP and here. Please check it out! Eventually, all students will receive a hard copy of the booklet in the summer mailing. The program is somewhat different this year: all students are expected to read one common text for English class and a minimum of two books from any of the academic disciplines at Choate. Students will be quizzed as usual on the English text on the second day of classes and asked to fill out a brief questionnaire about the others at registration next fall. SAT, ACT, PSAT, and AP Exams

October 4 SAT - Register by mail only to test at Choate by September 9! Final registration deadline is September 16.
October 18 PSAT - All Fourth and Fifth form students are automatically registered to take the test.
October 25 ACT - Register online at www.actstudent.org. The regular registration deadline is September 19. Late registration runs through October 3.
November 1 SAT - Register by mail only to test at Choate by September 26. Late registration runs through October 10. The SAT Language with Listening Test requires students to be registered for the test; standbys and test changes are not allowed. A personal CD player is also required for the language test.
December 6 SAT - Register by mail only to test at Choate! The regular registration deadline is November 5. Late registration runs through November 18.
December 13 ACT - Register online at www.actstudent.org. The regular registration deadline is November 7. Late registration runs through November 20.
January 24 SAT - Register by mail only to test at Choate! The regular registration deadline is December 26. Late registration runs through January 6.
April 4 ACT - Register online at www.actstudent.org. The regular registration deadline is February 27. Late registration runs through March 13.
May 2 SAT - Register by mail only to test at Choate! The regular registration deadline is March 31. Late registration runs through April 9.
May 4-8, 11-15 AP Exams - No formal registration is required. AP Exam signups take place in early February.
June 6 SAT - Register by mail only to test at Choate! The regular registration deadline is May 5. Late registration runs through May 15.
