Chamber Chorus Partners with Oxfam for Benefit Concert

On Tuesday, June 13, the Choate Chamber Chorus, under the direction of Alysoun Kegel, will give the final concert of its 2017 Scandinavia tour, "The Life You Can Save."

The concert is being given in partnership with Oxfam Sverige and artistic partners, composer Gustav Alexandrie and the world-renowned Swedish quartet Lemon Squeezy.

The lyrics for "The Life You Can Save," were written by ethical philosopher Peter Singer. The concert hopes to raise money to address the current famine crisis in East Africa where more than 16 million people are facing starvation.

During the Stockholm concert, audience members will be invited to make donations to Oxfam's Emergency Fund in order to save the lives of people endangered by this devastating famine. Here's how you can support the benefit concert.
