This is the seventh year of the Eight Schools Association TLI professional development collaboration. Forty participants from the Eight Schools enrolled in the Technology and Learning Institute which ran from Monday, June 12, to Thursday, June 15, at Choate Rosemary Hall. It was the second year that the Learning Design Cohort ran at TLI. It will continue throughout the academic year as faculty members from each of the Eight Schools learn to design online courses and learning modules.
Workshops included Enhancing the Teaching of Humanities with Technology Tools, Strategies and Best Practices for Teaching in the Long Block, Enhancing Collaboration with Google Apps (G Suite), Using Regular Student Feedback to Better Support Learning, and Coached Independent Projects. Instructors for the workshops were MB Duckett-Ireland (Choate), Norman Kim-Senior (Lawrenceville), Melissa Poole (St. Paul's), Kris Wiemer (Deerfield), Morgan Harris (Choate), and Chris Edler (Northfield Mount Hermon).
