SRP Students Summer Study

Richard Lopez '18 was one of 16 Science Research Program students interning at research laboratories this summer. Richard was an intern at the lab of Andy McMahon, kidney researcher and director of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC. Since 2003, this intensive program has offered motivated and independent science students at Choate the chance to step beyond the traditional classroom structure to explore their areas of interest. Working under the guidance of a mentor scientist at a research facility during the summer of their junior year, students engage in cutting-edge research at university laboratories.
