The Age of Consequences - Film Recap

On Friday, September 15th, The Kohler Environmental Center, Science Department, Paul Mellon Arts Center, and C-Proctors co-hosted a screening of The Age of Consequences. Through interviews with veterans, admirals, and generals, this documentary tracks the effects of climate change from a military perspective, examining how resource scarcity impacts national security, population shifts, and global stability.

Executive Producer Sophie Robinson was in attendance for the screening. A 2011 graduate of Williams College, Robinson holds degrees in Psychology and Environmental Science. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D.

Following an introduction by Melody Li '18, participants were able to speak to Robinson and ask questions about the project. Robinson also spent time with KEC residents and C-Proctors throughout the class day to get a first-hand look at the Environmental Immersion Program and to learn more about Choate's sustainability efforts.

Students and community members are invited back the PMAC for a free screening of A Plastic Ocean on Friday, December 15th at 7:30 p.m. to learn more about plastic pollution in the world's oceans.
