World Maker Faire - "Best in Show"

Seventeen students and four faculty members traveled to New York City on September 23 and 24 to participate in the World Maker Faire held at New York Hall of Science in Corona, N.Y. Design projects from Choate Rosemary Hall's i.d.Lab were featured at the event. This is the second year that i.d.Lab students have had a booth at the annual event.

Notes Dr. Travis Feldman, Director of Choate's i.d.Lab, "Our i.d.Lab students received the Best in Show award from Maker Faire organizers, who recognized that these students really invested themselves in helping others learn and make, with all of the enthusiasm, creativity and skills that it takes to be a maker."

Students earned the "Best in Show" accolade for assisting others in one of three activities at their booth: making polyhedrons, rubber band catapults, and soft robotics.
