SUMMER PROGRAMS AND STUDY ABROAD TUITION PAYMENT

Within 2 weeks of acceptance, students must pay a nonrefundable $1,000 deposit ($2,000 for Study Abroad participants) that is credited toward tuition. Final balance is due no later than May 1, 2018.

Students who are accepted after April 10th must submit their payment in full, including the nonrefundable deposit.

Final balance for Study Abroad is due by the date noted on the enrollment agreement.

Financial Assistance

Choate seeks the best qualified candidates from a variety of backgrounds and offers need-based financial aid to students who could not otherwise attend.

Financial aid applicants should provide all supporting IRS documents (including a copy of the 1040 form and any other income-tax forms used) by March 2, 2018. Please see the Financial Assistance page for details and an application.

Refund Information

In accordance with Choate policy, no refund of the deposit or tuition, room and board fees is made to any student who withdraws, is dismissed for any reason, or departs from the session before the completion of the program.

A student who enrolls and is paid in full, but decides to withdraw before the program begins, will not receive their non-refundable deposit and may forfeit the balance paid.

Refunds — determined by the date written notice of a student’s withdrawal is received — are granted according to the following schedule:

  • 75% of the paid balance will be refunded on or before May 18, 2018
  • 50% of the paid balance will be refunded on or before May 25, 2018
  • 30% of the paid balance will be refunded on or before June 1, 2018
  • 10% of the paid balance will be refunded on or before June 8, 2018
  • No refund after June 8, 2018
