Why Choate Summer Programs?
Exceptional curriculum– We annually update our courses and create new offerings to ensure that students have a variety of options.

Small classes – Class size ranges from 8 to 14 students. Students praise the faculty for their strong commitment to teaching and their interaction beyond the classroom. Student exploration and risk-taking are encouraged.
Experienced faculty – Summer faculty are comprised of regular-year Choate faculty as well as excellent teachers from independent and public secondary schools, colleges and universities.

Opportunity to make new friends – Each summer, students leave having made new friendships from an exceptional group of approximately 500 students.
Financial aid – More than $450,000 in need-based aid is awarded to students who could not otherwise attend our programs.
Ideal location – Our campus is located in a small, safe New England town, close to major metropolitan areas, beaches, historic sites, and college campuses, all of which students have the opportunity to visit on weekend trips.
Structured independence – Students are in classes for five or six of the eight periods but there are two conference periods each day during which students can work one-on-one with their teachers. Students enjoy a stimulating curriculum under the guidance of caring faculty.
Course credit – If a program is approved by a student's home school, students may receive credit for their work in our program.

Diverse student body – Each summer, students enroll from over 31 countries and 32 states, providing an enriching educational and cultural experience for both students and faculty.
Superb facilities – Our air-conditioned classrooms, library, dining hall, and computer and writing centers rank among the best in private schools and rival those at colleges and universities.
