  • Student-directed a cappella groups and opportunities to just jam

The Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble perform masterworks from the classical repertoire spanning era’s from the 17th to the 21st century. The Jazz Ensemble performs jazz charts by Basie, Ellington, Monk, Rich, Goodwin and Choate graduate composers. The Festival Chorus and Chamber Chorus repertoire is drawn from masterworks of the great choral composers and includes music of many cultures.

The chamber music program provides performance opportunities in trios, quartets and quintets. There are also opportunities to form student-directed instrumental ensembles, perform in student recitals or focus on the recording arts and music production.

With concerts and recitals every term, and the potential to perform a solo recital if desired, there are many performing opportunities both on and off campus, affording tremendous opportunities for musical growth.
