Girls Varsity Soccer Shuts Out Hotchkiss on Parents Weekend

The girls varsity soccer team has been electric so far this season against their Class A NEPSAC competition.

Last Saturday during parents and family weekend, they earned their eighth victory of the season against the then undefeated Hotchkiss bearcats. This win comes only a few days after their 6-0 win over Kingswood-Oxford.

The boars continued their winning ways by defeating Hotchkiss with a 2-0 victory, serving the bearcats their first loss of the season. Abbi Adler '20 put Choate on the board with an assist from Erin Martin '20 in the first half. Quality contributions came from numerous players across the pitch, with excellent reinforcements entering the game throughout the match. With 19 minutes left in the second half Greer Goergen '21 scored the game winning goal off a rebound in the box. In the net for Choate, Taylor Vecchione '20 recorded 4 saves to keep Hotchkiss off the board. This is the fifth time this season the boars have shut out their opponents.
