Boys' Soccer Earns Top 15 Ranking From Sports Illustrated

There's more than one ranked football team on campus.

On Thursday, October 1, 2026, Sports Illustrated unveiled its latest rankings of the top prep school boys' soccer teams, and the Wild Boars have made their way into the top ten. Ranked ninth, Choate Rosemary Hall Boys' Soccer Head Coach Charlie Fuentes has led his team to a 2-0-2 record and a +7 goal differential.

"Wisdom [’27] scored three of Choate's four goals at the NXT LVL Invitational over the weekend," Sheldon Sealer of Sports Illustrated wrote. "The standout striker scored twice in a 3-1 win over the Puerto Rico Sea Raiders and netted the lone goal in a 1-1 draw with Top 15-ranked St. George's."

As the season progresses, the Wild Boars have more than a few opportunities to prove themselves against the best teams in their league and beyond. Most notably, Fuentes and company have the opportunity to go head-to-head with the #12 Hotchkiss School Bearcats, #8 Loomis Chaffee Pelicans, #7 Northfield Mount Hermon Hoggers, and #1 Taft School Big Red. However, the team's focus is currently on the Big Red of Phillips Exeter Academy. The Wild Boars will look to capture their third win of the season against Phillips Exeter when the two clubs meet on Saturday, October 3, at 1:30 p.m. on Ralph Lovshin Track and Soccer Field
