Wild Boars Golf

The boys and girls golf teams compete each spring as members of Eight Schools Association and Founders League. The teams' home course is Wallingford County Club, an exceptional private county club located less than one mile from the Choate campus. In a typical spring season, the golf teams compete in several 9-hole or 18-hole medal play matches in addition to larger invitationals.

The Choate Boys Varsity Golf Team competes in the Founders League in addition to competing against other western New England prep schools. The team's home course is Wallingford County Club, an exceptional private county club located less than one mile from the Choate campus. In a typical season, 14 matches are contested, as either 9-hole or 18-hole medal play matches, typically against two or three other opponents. There are four larger tournaments each golf season, including the Bader Invitational (hosted by Loomis Chaffee), the 10-team Suffield Invitational, the 9-team Founders League championship and the 23-team Kingswood Invitational Tournament (KIT).
