Wild Boars Softball

Founded in 1961 at Rosemary Hall, Choate softball are champions on the field and in the classroom. Choate is the current, back-to-back (2022 and 2023) Western New England Champions of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).

Each year, they play a competitive schedule within Westerns, as well as the Founders League, and the Eight Schools Association. As a member of the Eight Schools, Choate values high academic standards while providing high-level training needed for collegiate play. Under the direction of Head Coach Edrik Lopez, Choate graduates have gone on to play in the Ivy League and NESCAC athletic conferences.

Most importantly, Choate softball instills the spirit of discipline and teamwork in all its players, and those who choose not to play at the next level go to pursue degrees at schools such as Cornell, Amherst, Dartmouth, Hamilton, Pomona, Columbia, and many more. High academic pursuit while playing the beautifully intense game of softball defines the Choate softball experience.
