A Community of Leaders

Inspired by our School's founding and traditions, the 1890 Society recognizes Choate Rosemary Hall's most generous and dedicated alumni, parents, and friends.

Gifts from 1890 Society members fuel every aspect of the School providing critical resources to sustain and expand academic programs, enhance student life, recruit and retain accomplished faculty, and increase financial aid.

Leadership Giving

Tuition alone does not cover the complete cost of educating Choate students, with the Annual Fund contributing 11% to our yearly operating budget. These unrestricted funds offer the School flexibility in addressing its most pressing issues.

Leadership donors comprise 90% of our annual support, contributing significantly to the transformative impact of our School and fostering a legacy of educational excellence.

Empower the next generation by making a leadership gift to Choate Rosemary Hall. Your generosity is a statement of your belief in the potential and promise of our students. Join this select and valued community of leaders.

Make your gift

I see the value of my Choate Rosemary Hall education every day in the lessons I learned about the value of hard work, character, overcoming challenges, and lending a hand. These values, which have created so many leaders in our communities and professions, are still central to a Choate education.

This is just one of the reasons why Choate is a philanthropic priority for me. Investment in the School is investment in future leaders and difference makers. —Jaques Clariond '01, Chair of the 1890 Society

Of the many things that set Choate apart, exposure to new people, experiences, and cultures stands out the most. Students come together from around the globe. They hold varying beliefs and ideologies. Yet, they all share this unique and wonderful Choate experience.
