Andrea Miller '00 was featured in a Forbes Magazine article entitled "How 3 Women are Changing the Face of Entrepreneurship" on October 2. In the article, which can be read in its entirety here, Miller discusses the challenges of being a woman in a field where "most choreographers who are appointed to leadership positions are men, in a community where the majority of participants are women."
Miller is the Founder and Artistic Director of Brooklyn-based dance company Gallim, a Guggenheim fellow and the first choreographer to be named artist-in-residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Andrea's credits include Carmina Burana at Lincoln Center and The Kennedy Center, Jacob's Pillow, BAM Next Wave, Frieze Festival, Theatre National de Chaillot and Grec Festival de Barcelona, among many others.
