City of Angels - Spring Musical

The Theater Department of Choate Rosemary Hall will present City of Angels, the 46th Annual Spring Musical, on Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. on the Main Stage of the Paul Mellon Arts Center. The Arts Center is located in Wallingford on Christian Street. Parking is free.

Based on the book by Larry Gelbart, music by Cy Coleman, and lyrics by David Zippel, the original Broadway production opened in December 1989, winning a number of Tony Awards and ran for an impressive two years. The musical weaves together two plots – a writer attempting to turn a novel into a screenplay and the world of the fictional film. The show harkens back to the 1940s film noir genre.

Directed by faculty member Tracy Ginder-Delventhal and performed by Choate students.
