Faculty Receives Outstanding Educator from the University of Chicago

Congratulations to Mr. Craig Johnson who received the honor of Outstanding Educator from the University of Chicago.

Each year, newly admitted students to UChicago are given the opportunity to nominate their previous educators who played an influential role in their lives. Johnson, a History, Philosophy, Religion, and Social Sciences faculty member, was nominated by a Choate alum and newly admitted UChicago student. The University receives several stories of the powerful ways teachers guide students toward intellectual growth. The award has been presented for over thirty years.

UChicago describes outstanding educators as educators who go beyond everyday teaching, making positive impacts every day. An Outstanding Educator illustrates excellence in teaching and mentorship with a thoughtful approach to instruction, caring for students in and out of the classroom, and leaving an impression that is carried over a lifetime.
