Advanced Topics in High School Mathematics

This course examines a variety of advanced topics in high school mathematics. Areas of focus are determined by student and instructor interest, previous coursework, and a diagnostic assessment given at the start of the course. Topics could include: functions (exponential, logarithmic, rational, trigonometric, parametric), limits, polar graphs, sequences and series, conic sections, trigonometry, statistics, and advanced topics in trigonometry. In the process of looking at the chosen topics, students review techniques for solving equations and for graphing and analyzing functions using various computer-based tools.
